Q. My fiance and I had meetings with several photographers before we chose who we wanted to work with. Do I need to contact the ones we decided not to go with and let them know we went in another direction? Do I need to tell them whom we are using and why?

A. While it is a common courtesy to let the other photogs know you chose someone else, it is not a
necessity. It will help them to not spend any more time on you in trying to win your business. If they ask whom you have decided to use, you can either say you prefer not to say, or you can let them know, if they ask why, telling them can help improve that area for future clients. You may be doing your community a favor!!
